Art Therapy Individual Session

I Heart NDIS_2020.jpg

Psychodynamic art therapy is a profound and transformative approach that uses the medium of art to explore and express the complex landscape of emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that reside in our unconscious. This therapeutic practice is grounded in the principles of psychodynamic psychology, which emphasizes the significant role that our unconscious mind plays in shaping our daily experiences and relationships. By engaging in the creative process of making art, clients are provided with a non-verbal means of communicating and exploring their innermost feelings and experiences, making it an invaluable tool for those who find traditional talk therapy challenging.

This form of therapy is particularly effective for individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and more. It offers a safe and supportive space to delve into and process unconscious material, gain deeper self-awareness, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. The emphasis is placed on the therapeutic process itself—the act of creating and reflecting on the art—rather than the aesthetic value of the artwork produced.

As a registered NDIS provider, we are proud to offer psychodynamic art therapy to a broad spectrum of clients, including those with NDIA-managed, self-managed, and plan-managed plans. Our services are priced at $193.99 per hour for NDIS participants, under billing item 15_610_0128_1_3.
