Child and Family Counselling

At Milk and Honey Art Therapy, our counselling services provide a compassionate and confidential space for children, adolescents, and families to explore emotions, navigate challenges, and build resilience. Our counsellors use a client-centred, trauma-informed approach tailored to the individual’s age, needs, and developmental stage.

Our Counselling Approach

Our counselling sessions integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including:

  • Play-based counselling for younger children

  • Narrative therapy to help children make sense of their experiences

  • Cognitive-behavioural strategies (CBT) to support emotional regulation

  • Strengths-based and solution-focused interventions

  • Creative expression through art, drawing, and storytelling

  • Parent support and psychoeducation to extend benefits beyond the therapy room

We work collaboratively with families, schools, and other health professionals to ensure holistic and consistent care.
